What LegitScript Certification Means for Sexual Health Telehealth
Many people now get prescriptions for erectile dysfunction, low testosterone or menopause symptoms through an online telehealth service. Wherever we mention one of these providers, we show a small badge saying whether it holds LegitScript certification. This page explains what that badge does and does not mean.
What LegitScript is
LegitScript is an independent company that reviews healthcare merchants such as telehealth providers and online pharmacies. Its certification is meant to show that a business is appropriately licensed, follows the law when prescribing and dispensing, and is transparent about who it is. Certified merchants are monitored on an ongoing basis.
What it does not tell you
Certification is about legitimacy, not effectiveness. It does not mean a particular medication will work for you, that a compounded or combination product has clinical trial evidence behind it, or that a service is the right fit for your health history. A legitimate service should still take a proper medical history, including your heart health and every medicine you take, before prescribing an ED medication. We cover effectiveness and safety separately, using FDA labels and published research.
What our badges mean
- ✅ LegitScript Certified: we found the provider listed as certified in LegitScript's own directory on the date shown.
- ⚠️ Not LegitScript Certified: LegitScript's directory does not show the provider as certified. This is a fact, not an accusation; a provider can operate legally without it, but its absence is worth knowing.
- ❔ LegitScript status not verified: we have not yet confirmed the provider's status in LegitScript's directory. We would rather say “we don't know” than guess, and we never take a provider's own claim as proof.

The same rule for everyone
Every provider gets its badge by the same rule, including providers we earn a commission from. If a provider we have an affiliate relationship with shows ⚠️ or ❔, that is what we display. A badge that only ever showed good news would be worthless. For how our affiliate relationships work, see our methodology.
Keeping it current
Certification status can change. We re-check every badged provider against LegitScript's directory at least every quarter and update the badge when the status changes. If a badge looks out of date, please let us know.
This page is informational and is not medical or legal advice. Always confirm a provider's current status on LegitScript before relying on it.
