About rx-sexualhealth
rx-sexualhealth is an independent guide to sexual health for men and women. We explain conditions and treatments in plain, clinical language, grade products by the strength of their evidence, and disclose every commission.
Who writes this site
Articles are written by the rx-sexualhealth editorial team: writers and researchers who read and summarize clinical literature, FDA drug labels and regulatory records for a general audience. We are not clinicians, and nothing here is a diagnosis or a substitute for care from one.
We sell no products of our own. We earn money from some links, and we list exactly what we earn.
How We Work
Each article starts from a question readers actually ask. We gather the strongest available evidence — systematic reviews and randomized trials ahead of smaller studies, and FDA labeling ahead of marketing — and link each clinical claim to its source: a PubMed ID, a DailyMed drug label, or an FDA page.
Before an article is published, its citations are checked automatically against PubMed and DailyMed, and its text is checked for claims we cannot support. We are not a testing lab, and we never claim first-hand testing.
Products are graded A to D on their evidence before any affiliate link is attached. The methodology page explains the grades, how we describe prescription treatments, and how we screen supplements for hidden drug ingredients.
Medical review
Our content is not medically reviewed until a named reviewer appears on it. Right now no licensed clinician reviews our articles, so none of them say “medically reviewed,” and we never imply a review that has not happened.
When a credentialed clinician joins us, their name and credentials will appear on every article they have reviewed.
Corrections and contact
If you spot a factual error or an outdated claim, email hello@rx-sexualhealth.com. When a correction is warranted, we update the article and note what changed.
